If the task bar is not visible at all, you will need to press Ctrl+Alt+Del key to bring up the taskbar. Go to "New Task" from the menu bar and enter "explorer.exe". You will need to do this several times if your task bar disappears again. Go to "C:\WINDOWS" folder through "My Computer". If accessing the My Computer folder is not possible then you can go to Command prompt by typing "cmd" in the "Run" command line and accessing the "WINDOWS" folder from here.

Copy the EXPLORER.EXE (Computer icon) file and paste it in the same folder. A file "Copy of EXPLORER.EXE" will be created in the folder. Now change the file name to your TBS.exe.

The above problems appears due to corrupt EXPLORER.EXE file. This may have happened due to

Corrupted operating system.

Improper hardware or software changes.

Corrupted Registry.

some trojan attack through internet file downloading.

When the computer is booted, everything looks fine initially with all the Desktop icons and the Task bar. The programs appear to be running fine. But all the icons and task bar disappears suddenly. Then it all reappears and this process continues without letting the user to perform any tasks. This problem recurs always when the computer is booted.

When the computer is booted windows xp loads and the wallpaper also appears but there are no icons or the task bar that appears.

explorer.exe is a process which is registered as a trojan. This Trojan allows attackers to access your computer from remote locations, stealing passwords, Internet banking and personal data. explorer.exe is the Windows Program Manager or Windows Explorer. It manages the Windows Graphical Shell including the Start menu, taskbar, desktop, and File Manager. By removing this process the graphical interface for Windows will disappear. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer.This is the user shell, which we see as the familiar taskbar, desktop, and so on. This process isn't as vital to the running of Windows as you might expect, and can be stopped (and restarted) from Task Manager, usually with no negative side effects on the system.

Goto any browser of your choice

Type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar

if you get a login screen as below then goto next post

otherwise just goto START--->CONTROL PANEL->NETWORK CONNECTIONS-->LOCAL AREA CONNECTIONS

right click on it select properties and select TCP/IP and select PROPERTIES and set IP address as 192.168.1.2 and subnet mask as 255.255.255.0 and sefault gate way as 192.168.1.1 and select save and close

click on ADVANCED SETUP

select WAN

you will get a screen as below in case the modem is preconfigured

otherwise there will be no connection shown

Now click on ADD

vpi  VALUE AS 0

vci VALUE AS 32

SET service category AS UBR Withot PCR

click on NEXT

select PPP over ethernet(PPPoE)

encapsulation mode as LLC/SNAP BRIDGING

click next

set authentication mode to auto

enable bridge pppoe frames between WAN and Local ports(default enabled)

CLICK NEXT

click on enable wan service
click next 

SAVE THE CONFIGURATION AND REBOOT

With the exception of your DSL router, ensure that all devices plugged into the phone line, including fax machines, satellite receivers, and alarm systems, have a DSL line filter on them. These filters prevent interference with your DSL signal. The DSL router should be the only unfiltered device on the phone line.

In case of PPOE login into the modem and check if the PPPOE id password are correct.

If possible, remove any Inrtermediate devices that sit between your computer and the DSL router.

Wireless routers

Network switches

Vonage phones

VOIP phones

Wired Routers etc........

Connect your computer directly into the DSL router so that you can eliminate the

possibility that another device on your network is causing the problem.

Restart the Computer 

Reboot DSL Router

Rebooting the router causes it to re-synchronize the DSL signal and the network connection to your computer.
Turn the DSL Router off and unplug the power cord of it. Then wait 30 seconds
Plug the powercord back into the DSL Router and turn it on. Wait another 30 seconds

Power LED Status 
Check the status of the LED lights located on the front panel of the DSL modem. “POWER” or “PWR” should be lit solid. If the power light is unlit or is flashing, tryhe following:
Ensure that the power supply is plugged in securely, both at the wall outlet and at the back of the DSL router
You may need to try a different wall outlet.

- Set Format to Mode 1.

- Set Character Set to ISO 9660 (standard ISO CD-ROM).

- Check all Relax ISO Restrictions.

- Check Allow more than 64 characters for Joliet names.

ENTER X2PVOL_EN AS THE DISK NAME

Enter the Volume Label AS X2PVOL_EN into the System Identifier AND Volume Set

Enter MICROSOFT_CORPORATION in Publisher,Data preparer

Enter Nero Burning ROM in the Application text boxes

- Check Write.

- Click the New button.
